About the Approvals module

They are automated workflows that replace email chains and paper signatures. When someone submits a request (purchase, time-off, budget, document), the system automatically routes it to the corresponding approver, who can approve or reject from any device with a single click.

Yes. Each request type can have its own flow with approval levels, designated approvers and conditional rules. For example, purchases under $500 go directly to the department head, while larger ones require additional approval from finance.

Each approval is recorded with the approver's verified identity, exact date and time, and the device used. This record is immutable and can be downloaded as a PDF certificate. It serves as evidence of who approved what and when.

The system sends automatic reminders. If the approver does not respond within the configured deadline, the request automatically escalates to the next level (for example, the approver's supervisor). The original approver is notified of the escalation. This way, requests never get stuck.

Yes. Each request has a complete history: who created it, when it went through each level, who approved or rejected at each step, each approver's comments and the time each stage took. This history is exportable and useful for internal audits.
